Recently,New Zealand UW College of ZJU City College held the 2024 graduation design kick-off meeting and industry-teaching integration of practice bases hanging ceremony with the theme of school-enterprise collaboration-dream-building with craftsmanship-promising future.The meeting buttresses the internationalized design needs of enterprises,builds a two-way communication bridge between enterprises,teachers and students,and truly realizes the goal of training internationalized,innovative and applied talents.

This activity has become one of the important series of brand activities of China(Hangzhou)Comprehensive Pilot Zone for Cross-border E-commerce and the University of Waikato Joint College of Zhejiang University City College to build a community of innovative talents cultivation between government,school and enterprises.

"3D Brand Image"IP Design" "Innovative E-paper Based Application" "Outdoor Camper and Tent Design" "Innovative Small Appliance Design""Spiritual Office System Design", "Space Capsule Micro Hotel Housing", "Quantum Lamp"... ...On the scene of the event,15 representatives of cross-border enterprises,including Jiechang Linear Drive(603583.SH),Shuangqiang Technology(001211.SZ),Sheng'ao Technology,Huifu Group,Tepsen,Tongfutmeiqiao,Smartlife,BOE Art Cloud(Hangzhou)Technology,Eskimo Technology,Zhenhan Sports,Sanxing Feather and Down,Hangzhou Xiangtian,and Caifeng Household,etc.,combined their business with the development and market trends to release their graduation designs.The representatives of 15 cross-border enterprises,including Beijing Oriental Yiyun(Hangzhou)Technology,Zhenhan Sports,Samsung Down,Hangzhou Xiangtian,Cai Feng Home and so on,released their respective graduation design requirements based on the current business development and market trends.

Relevant persons in charge of the School of Art and Archaeology,teachers'representatives,industrial design students of UW College of New Zealand in 2020 participated in the activity,with technical support from the Global Cross-border E-commerce Brand and Design Innovation Center.

The 2024 industrial design students will combine their own interests and abilities,choose the corresponding content as their graduation design topic,and complete their works under the joint guidance of school instructors and enterprise instructors in the next few months.

The enterprises send jobs in the fall,which warms the hearts of graduates.Apart from the graduation design topics,15 companies also brought recruitment needs for positions such as industrial designers,product development specialists,and online(content)operations for cross-border e-commerce.

He Min,executive dean of UW College New Zealand,delivered a speech,in which she put forward that,on the one hand,students should make full use of the opportunity of this BSc,according to the proposition of the enterprise,digging deep into the market demand,and through deep participation in the application of practice and teamwork,to continuously improve their international innovation ability,problem solving ability and industrial employability,and to lay a solid foundation for the commitment to the work of branding and design-related positions after graduation.On the other hand,enterprises are the key to the integration of industry and education,and in order to build a good platform for collaborative education,it is necessary to give full play to the roles of various kinds of educating subjects,and it is hoped that all parties of the institute and enterprises can continue to maintain close contact on the basis of further exploring and developing the breadth and height of the cooperation,and constructing a more close,extensive and effective mode of regularized cooperation.

Since November 2021,the college has promoted a series of brand activities of cross-border industry-industry-teaching integration with the theme of"school-enterprise collaboration-dream-building with craftsmanship-promising future",including the construction of practice bases,innovative practical training workshops,branding and design enterprise projects,etc.,which have achieved good talent-training results.
