Imports and exports of cross-border e-commerce in Hangzhou increased by 9.26% year-on-year in the first half of the year

In the first half of this year,Hangzhou's cross-border e-commerce imports and exports reached RMB 56.26 billion,up 9.26%year-on-year,of which exports were RMB 46.391 billion,up 21.25%year-on-year.Up to now,there are about 50,000 cross-border e-commerce seller shops in Hangzhou,covering Hangzhou's characteristic industries such as furniture,gardening,clothing,and sports.Next,Hangzhou will guide and cultivate more cross-border e-commerce talents to gather in Hangzhou through the integration of an innovation chain,industry chain,talent chain,service chain,financial chain,and policy chain,and formulate a new round of cross-border e-commerce policy to accelerate the construction of a global first-class cross-border e-commerce demonstration center,said Wang Yongfang,director and executive deputy director of Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce(Free Trade Committee).

“6-chain integration”

Stimulate the innovation chain to improve the cross-border e-commerce return and exchange mechanism of import and export;

Enhance the industrial chain and further implement a three-year multiplier plan for the cross-border e-commerce industry;

Strengthen the talent chain,introduce and cultivate high-level talents in cross-border e-commerce to create a highland for cross-border e-commerce talents;

Optimize the service chain and build four major centers,including a global cross-border e-commerce brand research center;

Smoothed the financial chain to create a highland of national cross-border e-commerce payment;

Upgrade the policy chain and formulate a new version of the cross-border e-commerce policy,cultivate market participants,stimulate internal vitality,and encourage cross-border e-commerce to be bigger and stronger.

The State Council approved the establishment of the China(Hangzhou)Cross-Border E-Commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone on March 7,2015.For more than seven years,Hangzhou,the first cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot area in China,has been at the forefront of cross-border e-commerce development around promoting the development of the liberalization,convenience,and standardization of cross-border e-commerce.The"Hangzhou Experience"of cross-border e-commerce with“six systems and two platforms”as the core has been replicated and promoted to other comprehensive pilot areas in China.

The booming cross-border e-commerce is due to the empowerment of free trade pilot zones.Hangzhou will focus on building a digital free trade zone,with digital trade as the core,with digital logistics and digital finance as the support and digital governance as the guarantee,to vigorously develop the digital industry,and accelerate the building of a global first-class cross-border e-commerce demonstration center and global digital trade center.
