“Four Major Players”fully managing cross-border e-commerce in comprehensive layout

In the first half of 2023,the fully managed model has taken over the entire cross-border e-commerce industry.

With more and more cross-border e-commerce platforms joining the fully managed model, the global cross-border e-commerce industry may enter a new era.

Increasing growth of cross-border e-commerce exports

The era of rapid growth in the cross-border e-commerce industry will come to an end in 2022,and the industry will enter a new stage of mature and stable development.Sellers are generally optimistic about revenue growth in 2023.On one hand, inflation levels in the European and American markets are continuing to cool down.On the other hand, ocean freight costs are decreasing and port efficiency is improving, significantly reducing sellers’logistical challenges.

According to a survey,75%of sellers expect total revenue growth in 2023 to exceed that of 2022,while 34%of sellers expect profits to surpass those of 2022.

New cross-border e-commerce formats boosting confidence in the foreign trade

Recently, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade conducted in-depth research on more than 3,100 foreign trade enterprises.During the regular press conference held by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade on July 28th,spokesperson Sun Xiao introduced that according to the research data, when asked about the“favorable factors for the production and operation of foreign trade enterprises at present”,57.2%of foreign trade enterprises chose“stable overseas customers”,and 55.5%of foreign trade enterprises chose“the positive effects of national stable foreign trade policies and strong support from local governments”.

New platforms and new markets as the entry points for growth

As cross-border e-commerce enters a new stage of development, the platform traffic dividend is reaching its peak, and cross-border sellers are actively seeking new sources of growth.

In the Russian market, the platform Ozon has experienced rapid growth and has become a dark horse in cross-border e-commerce.The“newcomer”platforms,TikTok Shop and Pinduoduo’s cross-border TEMU,are highly favored by sellers.

Among the top 10 countries with the fastest growing e-commerce market size in 2022,there are a majority of countries from Latin America and Southeast Asia. Therefore, these two regions have become the core target markets with great development potential in the eyes of cross-border sellers.
